I got some new book cover art for "The Endurance Saga" which looks awesome, I can't wait to fiddle with it in photoshop once it's done.
This book feels 'different' as in it has more characters and more settings than my previous works. Also, it's one long narrative as opposed to the collection I published last year. I think I needed something new though, I was getting bored of fantasy. I will go back to that genre though, don't worry.
But yeah, Endurance Saga is meant to be my attempt at an episodic series, like something you'd see on HBO or Netflix. Where my other works would make for better short films. I was inspired by "Mass Effect" as I think I've mentioned, "Star Trek: Discovery" among others. There's even an obvious nod to "Alien".
I did mention Endurance Saga is meant to be episodic. Well, I wrote an extremely rough plot for a potential sequel. Will I do it? There's a good chance. I feel as though I want to stick to the same characters instead of having to come up with new plots and new worlds.
My other books were so vast and different that it was tough to 'start from scratch' How many worlds can I come up with that have anthropomorphic characters AND for all the plots to not feel all the same? I don't want to fee like I'm re-writing the same characters all the time. Well, this way I can contain my plots easier and just go crazy with the established sci-fi world I've created. So if I wanna invent a new species of alien, I can. Big changes happening in 2023!
My current writing plan.
Darak Stories- Exclusively fantasy. Now they don't need to STAR the minotaur, but they do need an element of the fantastical.
Endurance Saga Universe- Sci-fi with modern tech stories. Where cars can be their and ships and tech talk.
